How to Check DV-2026 Lottery Result
The Department of State administers the Diversity Visa (DV) immigrant visa program, which is an annual program for immigration to the United States. Up to 55,000 immigrants can enter the United States each year from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.
Applicants who are selected in the program (selectees) must meet simple but strict eligibility requirements to qualify for a DV. The Department of State determines selectees through a randomized computer drawing. The Department of State distributes diversity visas among six geographic regions, and no single country may receive more than seven percent of the available DVs in any one year.

The Process:
Visit the Electronic Diversity Visa website (https://dvprogram.state.gov/).
Look for the section dedicated to checking entry status (it might be labeled “Entrant Status Check”).
Enter your confirmation number, last name (exactly as entered on the application), and year of birth.
The website will display your entry status.

- No Email or Letter Notification: The Department of State will not notify you by email or letter if you are selected. You are solely responsible for checking your status online.

The DV-2026 registration period was opens on October 2, 2024, and closes on November 7, 2024 12:00 PM EST. DV-2026 Entrants should keep their confirmation number until at least September 30, 2026.
