Hagbes PLC Company invites competent and interested candidates for the following positions.
Hagbes PLC was founded in 1957 as an importing & trading company for small agricultural machinery and building materials, becoming the pioneer to introduce stone grinding mills in Ethiopia. By 1974 the company was the proud owner of feed mills, pasta factories, as well as a flour milling complex, making it the largest establishments of its kind in Eastern Africa at the time.

Position 1: Junior Network and System Admin
Qualification:
- BSc in Computer Science, Information System and Related Field
- Experience: 0 – 2 years
Responsibilities:
- Assist in network installation and upgrading according to system design and office layouts;
- Perform basic diagnostics, testing and troubleshooting of network and database issues;
- Assist in database configuration, maintenance, upgrade and patching;
- Provide on-site database and system support to end users;
- Perform system and database backups under the supervision of the Network and System Administrator;
Location: Addis Ababa
Position 2: Junior Software Engineer
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering,.
• Zero year experience
Basic Knowledge of Web Development:
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of the Document Object Model (DOM).
React Skills:
• Ability to create simple components and use JSX.
• Basic understanding of React’s state and props system.
• Familiarity with React lifecycle methods/hooks (useState, useEffect).
• Knowledge of component-based architecture.
Node.js Skills:
• Basic understanding of server-side JavaScript.
• Familiarity with setting up a simple Node.js server.
• Ability to handle HTTP requests and responses.
• Basic knowledge of Express.js for building APIs.
Other Skills:
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
• Strong logical reasoning skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and team work abilities.
