FHI 360 serves more than 70 countries, all 50 U.S. states, and all U.S. territories. FHI 360’s Crisis Response team has been responding to the humanitarian emergency in Northern Ethiopia through an integrated health, nutrition, WASH, and Protection project to meet the critical needs of the conflict-affected population.
Position 1: Education Advisor
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree.
- National/Ethiopian, with fluency in English and Amharic.
- Experience in successfully delivering education programmes of similar complexity.
- Ability to work effectively, collaboratively and develop constructive relationships with government, at both strategic/policy and service delivery levels including positive influencing skills.
- Local knowledge and networks in Ethiopia ensuring that strong working relationships are maintained with academic institutions, civil society, and other development partners.
- Sufficient understanding of education delivery through different channels, and education systems reform in Ethiopia, together with an understanding of the political, cultural context and challenges in Ethiopia.
- Computer literacy with standard business software (including Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Experience with FCDO-funded programs.
- Willingness to travel within project region/country 80% of his/her work time.Â

Position 2: Pharmacy Assistant
Education:
- Associate degree in pharmacy.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a pharmacist.
- Previous experience working with donor funded programs especially USAID/BHA a plus.Â
- Previous Experience working with a humanitarian organization is advantageous.Â
- Ability and willingness to travel to the program implementation sites and stay in the field.
- Current, active professional registration as a licensed pharmacist in Ethiopia with no restrictions.Â
- Ability to work in an environment where there are physical discomforts associated with change in weather or security.Â
- Excellent inter-personal, communications and representative skills (written, oral, cross-cultural).
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and pharmaceutical databases.
- Excellent communication skills in the local language, working knowledge of English
Technology to be Used:
- Personal Computer/Laptop, Microsoft applications (i.e., Office 365, SharePoint, Skype/Zoom/Teams), cell phone/mobile technology, and standard office equipment.

Position 3: GBV Case Worker
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Humanitarian Studies, Social Works, Gender Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Law, Public Administration, Political Sciences, or related discipline.
- 1-2 years of experience with NGO or CBO.
- 1–2-year relevant experience in Gender Based Violence programming including Case Management is desirable.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Experience in dealing with issues of women’s rights and Gender Equality within public institutions and/or international organizations required.Â
- Solid understanding and working experience of safeguarding and accountability.Â
- Fluent in local language and excellent in English. Â

Position 4: Health and Nutrition Assistant
Education
- Bachelor’s degree related to health or nutrition or a Related Field.
Experience:
- Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant administrative experience supporting projects and/or a technical practice area.
- Prior experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is preferred.
- Prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite preferred.Â
