FHI 360’s Crisis Response team has been responding to the humanitarian emergency in Northern Ethiopia through an integrated health, nutrition, WASH, and Protection project to meet the critical needs of the conflict-affected population.

Position 1: Finance Assistant

Education:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting /finance or its International Equivalent.

Experience:  

  • 0-2 years of experience providing Finance related responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Accounting software.
  • • Vocational or specialized training desired.
  • • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) desirable but not required.
  • • Fluent in local language and excellent in English.

Location: Maichew, Ethiopia

Position 2: Finance & Admin. Officer

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3-5 years of experience providing progressively responsible accounting, finance, and operational management experience in a government contracting environment coupled with internal control reviews.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or a similar subject area.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and HRIS /Payroll systems. 
  • Vocational or specialized training desired.
  • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) desirable but not required. 
  • Fluent in local language and excellent in English.

Location: Chereti, Ethiopia and Filtu, Ethiopia

Position 3: WASH Assistant Engineer

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 0- 2 years of national work experience in NGO setting, working on WASH or any other humanitarian project is strongly required.  
  • Diploma/Associate degree in environmental health, public health, social science, social work, community health or any relevant field of study. Additional two years of experience in a similar position in NGO setting can be considered in lieu of the associate degree/diploma. 
  • Qualified in Engineering Software (AUTOCAD, WATERCAD, Arc GIS and Epanet) Highly preferable.
  • Candidate must be good in using Microsoft office package.
  • Capable to form networks and liaise with local stakeholders.
  • Fluent in local language and excellent in English.   

Location: Axum, Ethiopia

Position 4: Regional Food Systems Advisor

Education:

  • Master’s Degree or above in Food (science, technology, engineering), Agricultural Sciences (Plant Sciences, Animal sciences), Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Livelihoods, or a closely related discipline.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of relevant technical and managerial experience working in the field of food and agriculture systems and/or livelihoods.
  • Experience working with the government, especially with BOA is highly required.
  • Experience working under the National Nutrition Program framework; ability to work well with different leaders of the food and agriculture system, and at the community level.
  • Experience in program planning and management with an emphasis on managing for results.
  • Demonstrated ability in organizing supportive supervision and review meetings with government stakeholders and partners.
  • Proven experience in monitoring and reporting on activities.

Location: Semera, Ethiopia

Position 5: Liaison Officer

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Management, or Social Sciences**
  • 5 years of work experience, out of which 2 years were in a management position/role, working with national and subnational government and non-government humanitarian programs and offices.
  • Very good understanding of national and subnational government and humanitarian response structures programs
  • Strong knowledge of humanitarian cluster structure and experience coordinating with UN and OCHA actors.
  • Strong knowledge in partner relationship management
  • Good knowledge and practical experience on project management
  • Solid experience in facilitating reporting, MOU development, proposal review, agreement development, and monitoring.
  • Experience in designing and implementing organizational capacity building programs.
  • Ability to deal with professionals from programs, operations, and finance backgrounds.
