EBC Ethio Startup Innovation Competition

The EBC Ethio Startup Innovation Competition is aligned with the Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy and the country’s priority economic sectors. The competition is organized by the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) in collaboration with partner institutions.

This registration process is intended for the first-round selection. Applicants must be 15 years of age or older to participate. Competitors may apply individually or as a team (3–6 members).

Selected startups will be featured weekly on television and across various social media platforms. The registration and selection process is conducted 100% digitally.

Competition Criteria:

Participants are required to meet the following core criteria:

1. Problem-Solving Technology

Applicants must present an innovative technological solution that addresses pressing social or economic challenges in the country.

2. Quality Software / Technology Solution

The proposed innovation must be functional, practically implementable, and developed to a high-quality standard, whether as software or another technology-based solution.

The competition registration and subsequent evaluation stages will be conducted exclusively through a digital system. Candidates who successfully pass the evaluation process based on the stated competition criteria will be officially announced on this website.
