Cactus Vacancy Junior Media Officer:

Position: Junior Media Officer

Requirement and Educational Background:

  • BA Degree in Marketing Management
  • Fresh Graduates of 2022/23
  • Fluency in both Amharic and English languages.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to remain focused and work for extended periods of time.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Possess common sense and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent stress and time management skills.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented attitude. 

Key Accountability Areas:

  • Understanding the traditional media landscape in Ethiopia.
  • Understanding and implementing advertising rules of Ethiopia.
  • Ability to guide clients on best practices for media usage in Ethiopia while considering advertising rules.
  • Knowledge and experience in collecting information on audience demographics and media reach.
  • Stay updated on latest trends in traditional media and advising on effective communication strategies.
  • Prepare media strategy decks and integrate media communications with creative direction and client objectives.
  • Attend strategy meetings and brainstorm media buying initiatives.
  • Monitor client account status and prepare media plans and schedules.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with media salespersons and track media space purchases.
  • Manage media orders and follow up on payment status with finance team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media houses, vendors, and sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with vendors on events, activations, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Prepare and update OOH and DOOH opportunities tracker decks.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and sales departments on media campaigns.
  • Prepare post-campaign reports and assist with related tasks.
