Every year we connect with thousands of students, educators, policymakers, academics, and creatives in Ethiopia. The focus of our work is on providing opportunities for young people through;
British Council builds connections, understanding and trust between people in the UK and other countries through arts and culture, education and the English language.
Position: Head of Arts
Requirements Of The Role:
Minimum/essential
- Graduate degree in a relevant field or work equivalent experienceÂ
- Experience across the Ethiopian cultural sceneÂ
- Experience in complex project management with a range of partnersÂ
- Experience in financial and narrative reportingÂ
- Experience in monitoring and evaluationÂ
- Experience of working with organisations, practitioners and communitiesÂ
- Proven interest in and understanding of cultural relations and the British CouncilÂ
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detailÂ
- Ability to work effectively with tight deadlinesÂ
Desirable:
- Project management qualificationÂ
- An innovative approach to the use of digital and social media to connect audiences.
- Experience of working with arts and culture as a vehicle for sustainable development
- Expérience of securing funding for cultural programmesÂ
Remuneration: ETB 111,000 Gross Per Month
