Position: Assistant Lab Technician

Qualifications: BSc degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Experience: 0+ years

Knowledge: Awareness of HACCP, food hygiene, and quality standards.

Skills: Strong troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Language / IT: Professional proficiency in English; competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Your core responsibilities will be:

Incoming barley sampling and preparation for further tests.
Deculmed and before deculming malt sampling and preparation for further tests.
Sampling byproduct and other non-routine samples as assigned by the function.
Managing the retention, storage and disposition of samples as per the company policy.
Performing daily cleaning for lab rooms & equipment and maintain 5s in the lab.
Perform a weekly survey for pest traps and report to the line manager.
Execute any related tasks given by the immediate supervisor.
As a minimum ensure that the activities on site do not exceed our environmental impact consent levels and are in accordance with our stated CSR/sustainability ambition.
Work with colleagues to reduce the environmental impact of the activities on site.

Responsible for the efficient operation of those systems that consume the most energy (heat, electricity, water, etc.),
Actively participate in the establishment, implementation, maintaining and continually improvement of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
