Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994 after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995. Since embarking operation, the Bank has registered remarkable growth.

Position 1: Telephone Operator
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma in communication or related field. Professional course in telephone communication is an Added advantage With a minimum of 3 years in telephone operator Service preferably in the banking sector.
Job Summary:
The job holder is responsible to operate telephone switch board to relay incoming, outgoing and interoffice calls; supplies information to callers and takes messages. S/he serves as receptionist for calling guests.

Position 2: Telephone Technician
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma in Electronics Technician or related field. With a minimum of 3 years’ experience in telephone technician preferably in the banking sector.

Position 3: System Administrator I
Qualification & Experience:
BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related disciplines with a minimum of two (2) years in System administration or related field.
Knowledge of Middleware application like oracle WebLogic or IBM WebSphere. & Knowledge and certification on operating systems like Unix, AIX, Linux (added advantage)
Job Summary:
Responsible for the technical functions within each system, including system upgrades, custom implementations, and the general upkeep of each system. Performs effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems, applications and related infrastructure. Participates in the system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Performs other responsibilities including establishing new user accounts, assigning privileges, and maintaining system security, troubleshooting system and software problems; data backup and restoration, security log audits, creation and deployment of server and workstation images etc.

Position 4: Software Engineer II
Qualification & Experience:
BSc Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology). Professional course in IT (added advantage) plus a minimum of four (4) years of Software Development Experience.

Position 5: Senior Business Analysis Officer
Qualification & Experience:
Undergraduate degree in a business or in Management Information Systems and other related fields.
Certificate in Process Reengineering, Six Sigma, Lean, etc. is an added advantage
A minimum of six (6)years of relevant experience; preferably in a banking environment.

Position 6: Regional Relationship Manager – Interest Free Banking I
Qualification & Experience:
BA Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field plus a minimum eight (8) years’ experience in the banking sector, three (3) of which is at supervisory role.

Position 7: Senior – System Administrator
Qualification & Experience:
BSc Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems with a minimum of six (6) years in System administration or related field out of which 1 year in supervisory position;
– Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux/UNIX, VMware, Active Directory and Cyber Security, etc
– Certifications on Microsoft Windows Servers or Linux/UNIX Certifications or Cisco or VMware is required.Certifications on IT Security is also advantageous.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the technical functions within each system, including system upgrades, custom implementations, and the general upkeep of each system. In addition, collaboration with business lines to develop and maintain tools, processes, and reliable data that help the Bank make more effective business decisions. Participates the system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. Involves in development of systems guidelines, procedures and standards to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and security of systems as well as evaluates system capacity and plans for expansion.

Position 8: Branch Manager Class III Branch
Qualification & Experience:
BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics or related discipline plus minimum of 9 years of relevant banking experience of which 3 years in a supervisory position.

Skills Requirement: Knowledge of computer operation is mandatory
