Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994 after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995.
Since embarking operation, the Bank has registered remarkable growth. Notwithstanding global and domestic challenges, Awash Bank has exhibited a superior operational and financial performances among private banks operating in Ethiopia. Position 1: Senior – Risk Officer
Qualification & Experience:
BA Degree in Financial Economics, Risk management and Economics or BSc in Statistics with a minimum of 5 (Five) years relevant experience in financial risk modeling and management.

Position 2: Senior – IT Risk Officer
Qualification & Experience:
Bsc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology & Information Systems or BA Degree in Business related field plus a minimum of 6 (Six) years’ experience in banking operations with a minimum of 3 (three) years in system auditing/risk management.
Certification in IT Auditing is mandatory.

Position 3: Customer Service and Operation Manager I
Qualification & Experience:
BA Degree in Accounting, Management, Marketing & Economics plus a minimum of 5 years’ experience with at least 3 years at operational work.

Position 4: Director – Advisory and Research Directorate
Qualification & Experience:
LL.B Degree in Law or Masters Degree (added advantage) plus a Minimum of 12 (twelve) years’ legal experience ideally in a leading organization. proven track record in
- Providing accurate and effective legal counsel
- Contract negotiation and drafting
Adding value to an organization through the development of comprehensive contract documents that mitigate risk and penalties.
Job Summary:
The jobholder plans, organizes, directs, leads and coordinates the legal service activities of the Bank. S/he provides expert counsel and insights that enable Bank’s Management to make informed decisions and achieve bank’s business objectives; leverages deep industry knowledge, regulatory expertise and leading-edge research capabilities to provide the highest quality legal advice and insights; provides input in the development of the Bank’s long and short term strategic and operational plans and policies. The jobholder will also identify, develop, deploy and retain staff within the directorate through effective talent management.

Position 5: Principal -Terminal Management Officer
Qualification & Experience:
BSc Degree in Computer science, Information Technology and Information Systems plus a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience on ATM/POS operations and support (Preferable).

Position 6: Branch Manager Class IV
Qualification & Experience:
BA Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Banking & Finance and Economics plus minimum of 8 years of relevant banking experience of which 3 years in a supervisory position.
