Awash Bank, Ethiopia’s pioneering private bank, was established on November 10, 1994 after the downfall of the socialist regime. The Bank was established by 486 founding shareholders with a paid-up capital of Birr 24.2 million and started banking operations on Feb. 13, 1995.

Awash Bank S.C Job Vacancy Announcement 2026:
Position 1: Administrative Assistant I
Qualification & Experience: BA Degree in Administrative Services Management plus a minimum of one (1) year experience in secretarial service.

Position 2: Software Engineer I
Qualification & Experience: BSc Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology related fields plus a minimum of (3) years’ experience in IT, software development, integration, project management and related areas with hands-on experience in full-stack development using technologies such as Java Spring Boot, NET Core, Python, React, Flutter and etc.
Masters in IT related field (an added advantage).
Job Summary
The jobholder is responsible for full-stack application development, including designing, developing, and maintain innovative software solutions that address business and user requirements. The role also involves API development, middleware configuration, system integration, troubleshooting and ensuring secure, scalable and reliable interoperability across platforms and services.
