American Medical Center would like to invite interested and qualified applicants for the following positions.

Position 1: Junior Nurse

Qualification Requirement

  • BSC Degree in Nursing from locally or foreign accredited institutions.

Work Experience 

  • Special Knowledge & Skill
  • Proficiency in the use of computer

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for examination and treatment by escorting them from the waiting area to the exam room and taking histories and vital signs
  • Triages and responds to patient communications within practice policy
  • Prepares, cleans and maintains exam and treatment rooms
  • Perform nursing procedures and activities as needed. Example, catheterization, NG tube insertion, NG feeding, suctioning, hygiene care, Vital Sign, medication administration etc.
  • Collect all investigation results on time and report any abnormality on patient’s condition immediately to the duty physician
  • Count and check all medications during handover and sign on the medication form
  • Communicate all pertinent job related information to the next shift, example usage of new forms, new equipment etc…
  • Label infection prevention buckets with the preparation dates and change solutions  accordingly
  • Make sure ECG machines and pulse oxy meter are plugged at all times.

Position 2: ICU Nurse

Qualification Requirement

  • BSC Degree in Nursing from locally or foreign accredited institutions.

Work Experience 

  • Two years and above.

Special Knowledge & Skill

  • Proficiency in the use of computer 

The ICU Nurse is responsible for the following tasks:

  • ICU Nurse is responsible for evaluating a patient’s condition and administering treatment, as well providing constant support throughout recovery time.
  • Responsible for critical patient care and support by closely monitoring and managing the patient’s condition, administering specialized treatment, medications, and interventions, and providing emotional support to both the patient and their family members
  • Monitoring and assessing patients’ progress, promptly identifying any sudden or subtle changes in their medical condition
  • Administer medications using different methods such as intravenous injections, gastric tubes, sublingual, transdermal patches, subcutaneous injections, and oral routes.
  •  Assisting with intubation, bedside procedure.
  • Providing regular updates on patients’ progress to doctors, patients, and their families.
  • Carrying out approved diagnostic or therapeutic procedures based on the patient’s clinical status.
  • Responding to health emergencies and promptly notifying the appropriate doctors.
  • Evaluating patients’ laboratory data and vital signs to determine if emergency interventions are necessary.
  • Providing continuous care and support throughout the patient’s recovery journey in the ICU.
  • Advocating for patients’ and families’ needs, ensuring their concerns and preferences are addressed.
  • Offering emotional support to patients and their families during this challenging time.
  • Setting up and monitoring medical equipment and devices, such as ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, transducers, and pressure lines.
  • Assessing patients’ pain levels and determining appropriate sedation requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Position 3: Receptionist

Qualification Requirement

  • Diploma in Secretarial Science & Office Management, Marketing Management, Business Management, Accounting or other related field from locally or foreign accredited institutions.

Work Experience 

  • Minimum of one year experience in hospital is preferable.

Special Knowledge & Skill

  • Proficiency in the use of computer 

The Receptionist is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; and answering or referring inquiries
  • Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in a most efficient manner
  • Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties; answering patients’ questions
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the reception area to show a professional image and maintain the front desk office inventory; anticipate and acquire needed supplies on time
  • Implement the office rules and regulations, and suggest changes as needed
  • Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, health and financial information
  • Answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, making sure that the appointments system runs smoothly and  greet patients politely
  • Explain the practice procedures and office policy to new patients
  • Accurately collecting information and biographic data about patients

Position 4: Telephone Operator

Qualification Requirement

  • Diploma in Marketing Management, Business Management, Accounting or other related field from locally or foreign accredited institutions.

Work Experience  

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in hospital is preferable.

Special Knowledge & Skill

  • Proficiency in the use of computer 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming calls to answer questions, refer to other department, or transfer to specialists.
  • Receiving incoming calls and routing them  to the appropriate department or individual
  • Responding to incoming calls in an appropriate manner, based on call type and content.
  • Providing information about the services over the phone, including scheduling appointments.
  • Assisting with internal communications by answering phones and relaying messages within the medical center.
  • Providing post-call follow-up to ensure that client have been satisfied with the experience. 

Position 5: Senior Accountant

Qualification Requirement (Job Specification)

  • BA Degree in Accounting from a locally or Foreign Accredited Institution.

Work experience 

  • Three years of work experience as accountant in medical centers or hospitals
  • Two years’ work experience on credit bills management (working experience in managing international credit insurance companies like Cigna, Henner and local insurance companies will give the candidate a better chance to be selected for this position)

Special Skill and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in the use of Computer, and peachtree accounting.

Accountable to the General Accounts Manager, the senior accountant has the following major duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee the collection of outstanding credit and invoices to minimize profit loss while ensuring it is handled appropriately and per company policy.
  • Create and implement strategies to increase the number of successful collections on outstanding debt.
  • Supervise and oversee the plans and programs related to collection
  • Ensure prompt reimbursement policies and that all receivable amounts are collected from the debtors on time.
  • Evaluate the accounts periodically and record the amount of collection
  • Prepare all collection and credit reports and statements
  •  Identify current and potential problems in proper revenue management
  • Suggest remedial measures to solve all outstanding financial issues in consultation with the department employees and senior management.
  • Maintain good client relation and provide customer service in line with the issues and complaints raised by customers/clients.
  • Work in accordance to the organization’s standards, practices and policies, along with the government regulations and standards.
  • Work in coordination with all departments to meet organizational goals
  • Supervise, oversee and evaluate the team’s work performance
  • Use latest trends and policies to establish credit limitation stature
  • Train new and junior employees in the collection/finance department
  • Review and oversee the team’s performance
  • Develop policies and plans that will improve the cash flow and minimize the amount receivables.
  • Manage and review account statements, receivables and payables, balance sheet, etc.
  •  Prepare financial reports and statements and present it to the Management
