AAU School Of Public Health invites interested and qualified applicants to apply for the following vacant positions.
The College of Health Sciences (CHS), Addis Ababa University (AAU), is a professional health sciences college, established in 2009/10 by the reorganization of previously separate institutions of health under one umbrella. The CHS is comprised of four schools and one teaching hospital. The four schools are the School of Medicine (SoM), the School of Pharmacy (SoP), the School of Public Health (SPH) and the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS).
The SAHS offers professional training in nursing, midwifery and medical laboratory technology. The rationale behind the establishment of the CHS is to encourage cross-breeding across various disciplinary paradigms; standardize curricula across disciplines; set standards and quality checks for the teaching-learning process; maximize human resources utilization through joint planning in teaching common courses and in conducting research; create opportunities in collaborative research and publication; maximize shared use of facilities for effectiveness and efficiency in teaching-learning, research and services; and create opportunities to address the health needs of the community in an integrated manner as a health team.
Position 1: Project Finance Officer
Education
- Financial / Accounting degree;Â
Experience
- Minimum One years’ experience as Finance OfficerÂ
- Experience in managing project finance;
- Experience in managing government donor funded and / or multi-partner project budgets would be advantageous
- Accurate and strong attention to detail;
- Good knowledge of fund accounting including reporting requirements of donors;
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team.
- High level of good organizational and administrative skills with and ability to work well under pressureÂ
Location: Addis AbabaÂ
Position 2: Project Coordinator for Capacity Building and Mentorship Project (CBMP)
Education
- Master’s degree in public health, health informatics, project management (health related), health service management, monitoring and evaluation (health targeted), and related fields.
Experience
- At-least five (5) years of proven work experience , at least two years of experience in the area of HISÂ
- Experience in project coordination,
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in team.
- Excellent organizing and prioritizing skills and attention to detail.
- Computer skills – Knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheet and data analysis software such as SPSS and STATA
- Ability to represent the project in any platforms.
- Fluency in spoken English,
- Ability to write good reports
